Every log has a story

EXPLORE

We have Australia’s largest collection of sustainably sourced timber slabs. Located in North Queensland and shipping Australia wide, we source salvaged timber and harvest from our plantation of sustainably grown Australian rainforest timbers.

Sustainability is our passion and to date we have planted over 100,000 mixed rainforest trees to revegetate our property providing both habitat and a selection of timbers to be carefully harvested. Whether you need timber slabs, dimensional timber or custom furniture we’ve got you sorted!

SUSTAINABILITY

Whilst timber is the item we sell,
the product is something far greater.

The vision of Topaz Sustainable Timbers is to operate a
successful business that delivers quality cabinet timbers, whilst
simultaneously enabling responsible land management to create
rich habitat for the native flora and fauna.

We salvage timber from select sources to give trees another life
beyond being chipped and heading to landfill. Unfortunately many
trees that are removed from urban areas end up downcycled into
wood chip or end up at the tip.
We believe in the mantra ‘salvage first’ which means if timber can
be sourced from a salvaged log it is better than coming from a
sustainable plantation.

When you purchase timbers from us just ask us where it came
from; every log has a story and we can tell you the story of yours!

Australia’s widest range of
sustainable rainforest timber slabs.

Every slab has its story and we know
the provenance of every piece.

Your support allows further tree planting and
maintenance to enrich habitat.

High end quality timber that is kiln or air dried
to ensure stability for joinery.

Down to earth family owned and operated business, we’re
always up for a yarn and can’t wait to make your timber
dreams a reality.

Extensive experience working and delivering projects with
individual clients through to commercial customers.

“Such a pleasure to deal with! I bought a gorgeous black wattle chopping board, which I get so many comments on, and one of their beautiful stump bedside tables, which is my new favourite piece of furniture. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of their timber. Thank you!”

“There’s no more beautiful materials than some of our Australian rainforest timbers and no one I’d go to to get them from but TSS. Wil and the team are knowledgeable and helpful and everything is well sourced and cared for!”
